Sea-change for our retirement

Twelve months ago my wife (Lesley) & I were considering our ongoing living arrangements as we approached our mid 60's. Having lived at Coromandel Valley for the last 12 years we had effectively ticked the 'tree change' box & were now ready for another chapter in our 40 years + together. Both being born & raised in beach-side suburbs we obviously considered a return to the sea-side lifestyle but with some 'conditions' - no stairs, no fences, views of the sea & close enough to hear (it). A property on (any) esplanade was way to expensive for us - or so we thought - until we were introduced to the idea of apartment living - that's when we met Karl for the first time. Karl clearly understood our situation from the get go & was extremely patient & understanding as we grappled with this previously not considered downsizing option. Karl navigated my latest investment purchase with aplomb! He endured me asking for extra opens and private viewings of other available units in the complex and did so with great patience. He was also accommodating and humorous which is always a bonus. Oh, and manners - he had a gift for the tenant each and every time their space was invaded which spoke volumes to me re appreciation and positive relationship-building. A nice detail worth noting.
