•We recently purchased a home through David Lonie of LJ Hooker, but unfortunately, we never had the opportunity to meet him in person. Throughout the entire sale process, we dealt exclusively with his assistant. On settlement day, the key to our new home were left in a pot plant by the front door, with the remaining keys placed in a Glad snap-lock bag on the kitchen counter. There was minimal effort made to acknowledge the significance of the occasion. In contrast, our past experiences of purchasing a property the agents were far more personal and professional. The agents made a point of meeting us, handing over the keys in person, and even offering a small welcome gift—a gesture we truly appreciated, though not expected. Unfortunately, our experience with David and LJ Hooker felt impersonal and transactional. While we do acknowledge and appreciate David’s prompt responses to texts and calls, we cannot recommend him based on the overall lack of engagement and care during the process.
We have used David twice now to sell our properties and have found him to be an extremely good communicator because he kept us up-to-date with all of our open home inspections, giving us feedback and valuable information and guidance. Based on his experience, he was able to provide insightful feedback to enable us to make valid decisions regarding the sale of our latest property. We have found him to be very enthusiastic and positive all the way through the process which gave us confidence in knowing that we could achieve a great result.
