Matt is a great communicator and kept us in the loop with updates throughout the whole process. He initially showed that he had a great knowledge of real estate in the area which gave us some comfort. He gave us a realistic idea of the price we could expect and the time it would take to sell and backed that up with examples of properties that had sold and were still on the market. He gave us his opinion on the strengths and weaknesses of our property and gave honest suggestions on preparing it for sale. He clearly has a handle on the type of buyers out there as well. He explained his marketing strategies to us clearly and advised what he thought would suit our situation and budget. He discussed what would happen at different stages as possible scenarios presented themselves. He is a man with infectious energy and enthusiasm which was comforting during the sale. Matt was not just a business man. He was understanding and sympathetic after we had to postpone the sale because of a family health issue and sent us a much appreciated card and flowers. He didn't have to do that. He went above his duty offering to do little jobs we were unable to do as we lived so far away from the property. He even gave some windows a clean before an open house after a bit of rain marked them. He handled the final sale well. There needed to be some negotiation. He communicated his reasons for the different strategies he suggested we employ and clearly carried them out well. We are very satisfied with the whole process and especially with Matt, and hopefully conveyed that clearly to him when we had coffee with him at Terrigal a few days before settlement.
