We chose Charles to be our agent following an appraisal he did for us a couple of years prior to our decision to sell the house. We found him at that time to be a genuine and caring person who we would trust with our father's investment. We needed to gather a minimum of four quotes due to our position of power of attorney but Charles stood out above the rest, partly because of his competitive fees but mostly because we felt that he had the friendly manner, professionalism and integrity that we were looking for. We were certainly rewarded for our decision. Charles followed a great advertising strategy bringing, what we felt, was a great number of people during the open houses and securing a positive number of bidders. The day of the auction was an emotional time for us and Charles was a great support for us whilst also providing a private and comfortable environment for the bidders and, ultimately, the buyers. We were very satisfied with both the number of registered bidders and the end result. We received well over the reserved price and we left the experience feeling elated and highly satisfied with the result. The auctioneer, Craig was encouraging yet not pushy, which achieved a great result for us. I would not hesitate in recommending Charles Blackney as an agent and I would most certainly choose him again if the situation arose.
