Our experience involved Jason acting as the real estate agent, developer (on behalf of his parents) and also the auctioneer. Settlement on a property we had contracted to purchase was delayed several months from the original date advised due to Jason being unable to finalise the title. Once eventually ready, Jason insisted on a revised settlement date which gave us little time to prepare. Having to push out the settlement by a few days, Jason immediately issued a rescission notice and applied daily interest penalties. My husband and I are both retired and it was extremely distressing to have him telephone me at night (in his capacity as developer representitive rather than as agent) demanding immediate settlement or he would gladly rescind the contract and put the property back on the market. Our lawyer had to issue Jason a letter advising that the police would be contacted if he did not stop the phone calls. During the title delays, there was a complete lack of transparency about the cause and we were totally in the dark about what was happening. Jason often directed us to the titles office and his conveyancer to find out for ourselves. In our opinion, any buyers or sellers of property in the area should steer clear of this agency. Our advice would be that even the most beautiful property isnt worth the pain and stress that we have been put through.
