Throughout the experience, Donovan kept me informed of all necessary information regarding the property (contracts, auction requirements, strata reports etc). Donovan promptly returned my calls and was always willing to seek as much information for me as possible - nothing was too hard. I am pleased to write this review for Piers van Hamburg of McGrath Neutral Bay who was the lead agent our the sale of our Cremorne property. Piers was professional and helpful at all times during the sales process and he clearly understood the market and what could be expected in terms of a sales range. His agency McGrath has some excellent resources and research that was also provided to help guide us during the process. Piers and his team were particularly helpful in arranging for the property to be ready for sale - including arranging trades (at very good prices) for repairs and property visual enhancement. This saved us a significant amount of time and effort. We were very pleased with the final result and sale price which no doubt at the upper levels of the market for the nature and type of property. My wife and I have no hesitation in commending Piers, his team and McGrath to any prospective vendor. Keep up the good work!

We have been in the market for past 12 months and each time we met Donovan and his assistant they have been most courteous and considerate. With our recent purchase at Wollstonecraft we could not have been happier with the after service from his team at McGrath. They found a tenant for the unit within one week of signing the purchase contract and there was no time lost in rental upon settlement of the property. During the Open Home for the property, we questioned Donovan on their rental assessment. We felt it was overstated. The published rental estimate was actually lowered by Donovan. To our pleasant surprise the rental McGrath has been able to obtain for us was about 7% above their guidance. We should not have doubted Donovan and their team's expertise. From the moment I met Donovan to interview him as the potential agent to sell my mother's property, he impressed me as being very professional and measured in his approach and with a deep understanding of the market, surrounding properties and potential buyers. He made excellent suggestions regarding the ideal preparation and presentation of the property. He then project managed the necessary renovation and styling to present the property in immaculate condition. He reported regularly during the marketing process and gave excellent advice around the auction process. Whilst the price guide used in advertising was strong, the sale price at auction exceeded the top of the price guide range by almost 10%. I would unhesitatingly use him for any future sales in the area. The best recommendation of his performance is in a comment a rival agent made when I visited an open inspection of another property on the day of the auction, when the agent expressed amazement with how good the sale price was and the personal view that the price guide was set too high.

We were not intending to sell our house; however, as soon as Piers saw our house that we had just finished renovating, he had the right buyer in mind. Within a week we had sold our house and bought another "project". Piers was very respectful of the process and the emotions that come into buying and selling you beautiful home. He listened to us and responded positively but he also gave us realistic advice which, in the end, gave us the result. I would recommend Piers and I would use him again.
