Janet assisted our family in selling our parents home in 2019. In a very difficult time she was professional, knowledgeable and her experience allowed her to give us wise advice and direction. More than that I greatly appreciated the understanding, care and thoughtfulness she showed, as this was also the home I had lived as carer with my Father. Janet was the agent for my parents' house in Mitcham that my sisters and I were selling.
Janet was referred to us by her colleague and our friend Ann Bown-Seeley. From the outset Janet impressed us with her calm demeanour and wise responses to our many questions and requests. Throughout the sale campaign her advice was offered sensitively and proved to be invaluable. Her long experience of real estate in the Mitcham area was obvious, and this all culminated in an excellent auction (despite inclement weather and a large crowd) and an outstanding result that exceeded all our expectations. Mark was the auctioneer for my parents' house in Mitcham that my sisters and I were selling.
Mark's briefing before the auction was very helpful and clear as to the proceedings on the day of the auction. The auction itself was managed extremely well by Mark and the team from Ray White, Mitcham (Janet and Ann). There was huge interest in the house and a very large crowd both during the final inspection and the auction. The weather was challenging with rain threatening and Mark made a last minute call to hold the auction inside (with half of the crowd overflowing outside the kitchen doors) - this was a very wise decision as there was a heavy downpour towards the end of the auction! Having to move inside at that critical point would have been highly detrimental to proceedings. Mark's skill and experience as an auctioneer was evident to all and the result was far beyond our expectations - Mark is deserving of our sincere appreciation!
A clear communicator and auctioneer
Mark was a great support in the sale of our house as he was present for the open for inspections which gave him knowledge of the house and its positive attributes. He guided us clearly in the auction process and was able to exceed our expectations for the selling price of our house.
Professional and experienced with empathy and understanding
Janet was always organised, professional and efficient in following up on a large (100+) number of groups that viewed our house. She communicated effectively with us (the vendors) and acted in an honest and responsible manner when setting the values on the property.
