Absolutely appalled by the unprofessional and disrespectful conduct displayed by Tayla Boyd from OBrien Real Estate. My partner and I have been renting a property in Hillside for over 5.6 years, consistently maintaining the property in pristine condition. We’ve passed every single inspection with glowing reports and have always addressed any property issues promptly, communicating effectively with the real estate and landlords alike. Upon our end of lease, the property was handed over to Tayla Boyd for a final inspection. We even hired professional cleaners to ensure the place was left spotless. Despite this, Tayla nitpicked on trivial matters like minor cat hair on blinds, a small amount of dust buildup, some weeds in the front garden, and a few cobwebs in the backyard and front yard. These were such insignificant issues that it was baffling how much attention she gave to them—especially considering our history as tenants. Her response to these minor concerns was to threaten us with VCAT if we didn’t comply with her unrealistic demands. Tayla’s handling of our exit showed her lack of experience and complete disregard for long-term tenants who have treated the property like their own. Rather than approaching the situation with fairness or considering our impeccable record over the years, she resorted to scare tactics and aggressive communication. If this is the level of service OBrien Real Estate deems acceptable, I would strongly advise any potential tenants or landlords to look elsewhere. Our experience with Tayla Boyd has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.
