I have sold properties Australia wide and also specifically in the Sorrento and Blairgowrie areas. I have had friends who have done similar in Portsea and Sorrento as well. Without doubt from the start Sothebys and Danielle in particular left the rest for dead! We received quotations from the original agent who sold us the property (over 20 years exp on the peninsula she told us) - quoted initially a reasonable figure (200k less than what we got) but then dropped it lower once we seemed to be interested. (WE WERENT!). So we asked for referrals from friends and Danielle was one that was highly recommended - it was stressed she will really work for her clients, knows her business and will maximise price and how a property is presented and sold. Danielle was everything and more, she saw the potential we saw on our property and Danielle went in further and had two more staff from Sothebys have a look. All agreed and all saw what we did that was unique about our property - (NO OTHER AGENTS IN THE AREA DID!). A price was set and although we thought it was ambitious, we were hopeful based on Danielles advice. We also (at Danielles suggestion) tested the market to see how developers would feel as well. We then proceeded to get photos done and got ready for market. Well we had an offer before it was officially open. One client was so interested they drove down the day before it came up for an OPEN - an offer was made which Danielle initially knocked back before shortly after (like in the next 10 minutes) we were given the offer which we accepted which was well above our expectations (and right where Danielle said it should be). So our recommendation - GO NOWHERE ELSE. If you are selling on the peninsula, forget the rest DANNIELLE'S THE BEST - dont waste time and money elsewhere. These are the only ones i will ever consider in the future!

I know we said thank you after the auction of 8 Weeroona Avenue Portsea on Saturday but I want to make it a bit more formal than that. The way you managed the sale process was as close to perfect as one could get. You persisted in your recommendation to do more than I thought necessary in the presentation of the property. It was certainly the right call and, now with the benefit of hindsight, I can see why you pressed on with that recommendation despite some resistance by me. What really impressed me was the level of communication in explaining what you wanted done and why you thought it would add value to the property. The reasons were clearly explained and that convinced me to go with your recommendations. There is no doubt that the money spent in the presentation was returned manyfold in the sale price. The marketing of the property could not have been better. I had many comments that people had seen the property mentioned in the media on multiple occasions. Anyone even remotely interested knew of the sale. The photos, website and brochures made the place look exceptional. You and your staff were ultra-reliable and kept us fully informed of what was going on. Your recommendation about the sale by private auction was exactly right for this situation. The end result was a sale price at the top end of our range of expectation. On behalf of all the Woods family, many thanks for a job better than well done.
