We have had our investment property in the hands of Personalised Realty for a number of years. We are resident interstate which means we have never had the opportunity to visit. As we approach retirement we are beginning to rationalise our portfolio. Our property has been well cared for by the agent and any and all issues have been dealt with promptly and professional advice freely given. When it became time to sell, we consulted with them over the course of just over a year and took their advice on when and how to sell. As they had a waitlist of prospective buyers, we did no need to go through the process of advertising and within a few days of us requesting them to sell, the property was sold. We were kept informed of their progress and listened to their recommendations. We received a very good offer and were told the timeline to expect. The sale went flawlessly. Julie had recommended a legal firm in Queensland to handle the matter and they too were very helpful and answered promptly any questions we had. As we had a sitting tenant who has been very good we did not wish to disturb them more than was necessary to do inspections for the prospective purchaser. We could not be more satisfied with the whole process from the initial enquiry about when to sell, through to the conclusion of the sale. Could not fault them. Julie, whilst a nice person, seemed very uninterested in this sale. For me this was my first house purchase and the whole process was very impersonal. I was called the incorrect name for most correspondence, I did not get to put my sold sign up myself and I have not heard from Julie since my pre-settlement inspection. On key hand over no-one from the realty office was available to meet me and the keys were not left where advised. Buying your first house is a nerve-racking experience and nothing was done to alleviate this.
