We recently moved interstate from NSW, and faced the daunting task of finding a rental remotely. This is a difficult and stressful task, and we registered our interest with most of the agents in the area. The standout difference that Harcourts offered was the human touch. The staff and agents were available, friendly, and courteous. From what I can tell there are way more renters than properties available, so apart from checking all the boxes, you need to wait your turn. Harcourts managed this process the best by offering reasonable feedback and setting clear expectations. The other agents weren't awful but did seem overstretched and too busy to offer that one on one feedback, Simply having some empathy and understanding of the stress that renters go through goes a long way to making customers happy. Should I be in the market to buy a property in this area, I would be inclined to make Harcourts my first port of call, purely based on how I was treated as a renter. Good business practice in my opinion
