Whilst every seller's agent has a contractual responsibility to the seller's best interests, Ton had a firm grasp on the buyer's part in that arrangement. As the buyer in this instance, I felt that Ton's level of transparency, frankness and good old fashioned honesty was a relief after some months of communication with agents shrouded by smoke and mirrors, off the mountain. Ton also represented us and our interests fairly as the buyers, to the seller, so much so that when we all met by accident weeks after the purchase, there was very much a feeling of mutual benefit from the transaction. It was a comfortable and friendly exchange between two groups of people who had done the right thing by one another. This was the outcome because there were no secrets with Ton. We all knew what was going on every step of the way and were able, with Ton's guidance, to arrive at a fair result. I know who I will sell through when the time comes.
