Like most people, I am not in the habit of buying and selling houses regularly so I did not have an agent that I could turn to. Luckily I was privileged to have had Theo recommended to me by a colleague. The character traits exhibited by Theo, were exactly what I was looking for in an agent: Excellent communication: Theo was always available for any questions. He would provide us with regular updates re interest in the property, consumer price estimates, the number of contracts that had been sent and more. Presentation: Theo’s advice regarding some subtle changes to the presentation of the property meant that when it was marketed it was presented in a manner that would (and did) increase buyer interest. Theo’s advice was invaluable and I believe helped us extract the ultimate value for our home. Negotiation: Our settlement exceeded our expectations on the day. Theo has to take a significant amount of credit for this. He discussed a number of strategies for the day of Auction and had a number of options up his sleeve of which he would deploy depending on the interest, number of bidders etc. Honesty: Theo provided us with a number of options throughout the process and was always quick to highlight the positives and negatives from each one. This allowed me to make informed decisions along the way without feeling like I was being pressured to take a certain path. All in all, I advocate Theo’s services and believe that anyone who is privileged enough to have Theo manage the sale/purchase of their property is going to be extremely happy with the outcome.
