What's around 11 Maxwell St

Bluestone Belle Circa 1910, an integral part of Old Kyneton’s history, a stone’s throw away from Kyneton Botanical Gardens

In 1884 the land upon which “Bluestone Belle” was built was in the ownership of Joshua Morris, nurseryman, and formed part of the yards of the old Kyneton Nursery. Now a delightful old dame in need of some refurbishment Bluestone Belle still proudly displays classic Victorian and Edwardian features such as five brick chimneys, thirteen foot ceilings, pressed metal wall cladding and ceilings, bluestone plinthwork, solid timber floors under tired carpets, a bullnose verandah roof, detached laundry and toilet with a cast-iron cistern and a lovely old cast-iron stove in the kitchen. Established trees and shrubs including liquid amber, birch, plum and apple, rhododendron, camelia and agapanthas, amongst many others, enhance the appeal of the garden. Town gas is available and the property is connected to town sewer and water. Perfectly nestled in a quiet Kyneton street of period homes, Bluestone Belle is just a short walk from Kyneton Railway Station, schools, the river walk, coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. Land size approximately 860m2.

Family Home

It was with regret we had to sell the family home, however Julian made the process an easy one. He was realistic with what we would expect to receive and remained in constant contact providing advice along the way which was very helpful. The auction day was a nervous one, however Julian was very professional and reassuring. I would definitely recommend Raine & Horne.
