Gary Dawe -Proprietor/Property Consultant - Diploma of Property. C.P.M. Following nearly 5 years at Strathalbyn learning the ropes across a broad sector of Real Estate, Gary accepted an offer to come back home to Meadows in late 2004. Gary was delighted with the opportunity to become a partner in the New Raine & Horne Franchise at Meadows. Gary has very strong ties with the township and surrounding districts (“Battunga Country”) having lived in Meadows all his life, together with raising his family there.Gary went to school at Meadows & Mount Barker, and has continually worked in the area, including being a partner in his family’s transport company for 13 years. Gary is always an active member of the community and has been very involved in the sporting clubs playing “A” grade Cricket & Football for the town (now a life member of both clubs) and also representing the Hills Association in both sports. One of Gary’s passions is the now famous Meadows Country Fair a family day that brings the Community together each year. Gary is also a founding member of the Meadows Sporting Recreation & Social Club and has been very involved in the development of juniors playing sport in the district. “I appreciated the opportunities sport provided me, building character and life long friendships, teaching me self discipline and personal confidence, valuable attributes required in life and business” “ I think everyone should have the same opportunity”.Gary brings great commitment and a wealth of local knowledge to the real estate market in Meadows and districts. As recognition of Gary’s long standing commitment and hard work in the community, Gary was awarded the “Citizen of the Year” in the 2010 Australia Day Awards for the Mount Barker District Council. Again as further recognition, Gary was awarded in February 2013 the "National Volunteer Award" for "long-term commitment to community service" in the Federal electorate of Mayo.
