It took far longer than I expected to lease my property, and I was not provided options for improving its leasibility beyond my own proposals to reduce the proposed rent. I found Harcourts' service entirely reactionary rather than proactive in finding solutions, and thus highly unsatisfactory to the job they were tasked with. Harcourts' approach felt uncaring and ambivalent to the circumstances, and no effort was made to 'up their game' once a quick lease was not fourthcoming at my desired rental yield price. As a principle, one engages professional leasing services to remove the hassle of worrying about renting a house, however, I found myself worrying quite a bit about whether my house would ever lease, and while worrying, received little to no communication from Harcourts as to what would be done to fix it. I myself had to be proactive in calling Harcourts to get information or advice. I would therefore not recommend using Harcourts Ballarat as a leasing agent based on poor professional conduct, and poor results.
