My partner and I have recently relocated from interstate to Cairns and it was difficult to find a rental property as we had come from owning our house in New South Wales and also have 2 dogs, which makes renting challenging at the best of times. When I met Fiona at an inspection, she was very friendly and had already read our application and was able to find us something that fit our needs really well and in a very tight turnaround timeframe, which was really helpful for us in getting settled in our new home. The receptionist has also been a whiz at sorting things for us as needed, which we really appreciated when trying to navigate applying for properties via the app. The communication with the Ray White team has been extremely easy, and they have made sure that our rights as a tenant have been a priority (giving the legally required notice period for maintenance requests, advocating to the landlord for us for reimbursements). It has also been a really tricky time recently because of the cyclone and flooding, but the staff were in very regular contact with us to advise of how to seek assistance and how their agency could help, which we appreciated being new to the tropics! Overall, I feel the property management team are very approachable and helpful, and have definitely been the best agency I’ve worked with as a tenant.

I dont feel the handling of the recent tenant's termination was satisfactory particularly in relation of the bond being used to pay for the tenants cleaning bill. This was not in accordance with the information I was given. A lot of damage and clean work was left to me to rectify. A more accurate assessment of the tenant's performance should have been given prior to their non- renewal of contract .
