Having previously having tried to sell our house 18 months earlier and having received a high offer of at least $300k less than the market value, following an expensive media advertising and auction process we were looking for something different. What Kim said to us in her proposal really made us feel that our opinions of the previous process were valid. She stressed getting the house looking as good as possible ( we spent some money on getting it styled) but saved a lot of money by not wasting huge sums on advertising in magazines and newspapers that nobody reads these days. So after building up interest with a premium listing in realestate.com we had an offer within the first week we sold for a price that we were more than happy to accept.
