Our association with Mr. Schembri, of Ray White Macleod, commenced several years ago when he approached us with a view to having our home in Viewbank valued should we be interested in selling that property one day. At the time, we were thinking about relocating to a "sea-change" but hadn't quite made up our minds. Nevertheless, Mr. Schembri visited our home with a colleague and subsequently provided us with a written valuation. It was the first connection we had had with the Melbourne real estate industry since we purchased the Viewbank property in 1975. Whilst we decided not to proceed with a sale at that time, and continued to reside in Viewbank, Mr. Schembri maintained periodic contact with us. It was a very pleasant interaction, never intrusive or forceful, to the point where at no stage did we feel obliged or under any pressure whatsoever to sell the property. However, as time passed and our thoughts towards a relocation firmed, we contacted Mr. Schembri and set in motion the necessary steps which lead to the successful sale of our home at auction on 22 November. He presents well and was never over-bearing throughout the time we had to make some serious decisions that would impact our financial future and that of our family.
