We requested a secondary private inspection after the initial open home, which was no problem at all for Cindy, and we did not feel at all rushed during the inspections. We also had a long settlement and Cindy and her team were continuously communicating with us throughout the process to ensure everything was on track. And when settlement day finally arrived, we were treated to a beautiful yellow ribbon on our front door and a gift from the team at Ray White, making our experience all the more special. We went to numerous open homes with Cindy (and her associates), and at first glance she was straightforward and informative. However, this changed the second we actually purchased a home from her. Upon original price negotiations, Cindy was determined that the vendor would not accept our below range offer, and seemed irritated when it was accepted. This was reflected in the rude way she treated us when we didn’t immediately sign the contract upon the offer getting accepted. Prior to signing (and paying a $2500 non-refundable deposit) we wanted to complete our due diligence (Building/Pest inspections). However, this didn’t float well with Cindy. After 3-days when we had gotten the inspections done and we’re ready to sign the contract, we were then told by Cindy that another buyer had also been sent the contract, and was ready to buy the house. We were never informed of this until the point that we ourselves were about to sign the contract. I feel like common courtesy should have prevailed and she should have told us that someone else was interested in the house. When I questioned why she didn’t tell us, she said we had taken too long to sign the contract, and when I stated that we didn’t want to sign and pay without first getting inspections done, she replied with “well that was your decision, not mine”. I can’t speak for everyone, but what sane person would sign a contract to give away your life savings, without first doing your due diligence. This comment shocked me, as previous reviews of Cindy suggested she was a very professional agent. The only good thing following the previous interactions was a nice care package of wine and a gift card upon us moving in. This is the only reason I haven’t scored her lower. Needless to say, I was a tad disappointed.
