What's around 18 McCook Street

Perfect Inner-City Living

* Intelligent and practical family-friendly floor plan * Open plan interior, modern kitchen, spacious throughout * Rear deck with easy connection to the yard, Ideal NE orientation * Elevated, central and desirable inner-city location Here we have a quintessential worker's cottage that has undergone an architecturally designed renovation to incorporate modern and original features in a melded finish that brings easy living to the busiest of families. At 18 McCook Street, you'll find all those homely features that were the distinctive hallmarks of the traditional Queensland Worker's Cottage, such as hardwood timber floors and French doors, along with the modern touches; breezy bi-fold doors, stone benchtops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, and fully zoned and ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout. Tucked away from the street and hidden from view is the private upper level, where high ceilings and large glass windows and doors combine to maximise the spectacular leafy views throughout. The kitchen is conveniently located, ready to service the dining and entertaining areas and comes complete with 900cm Ilve gas cooker with a Qasair range, integrated dishwasher and a large island bench with a Franke prep sink and Hicks pendant lighting by Thomas O'Brien. The lounge, dining and kitchen flow onto an elevated rear deck, with sweeping North-Easterly aspect, where you can choose to relax, dine or entertain in style. Fabulously, the whole family can be housed on the one-level, with all four bedrooms located on the spacious, free-flowing ground level. The bedrooms are all beautifully appointed with custom-built cabinetry and ceiling fans throughout- and bedroom 3 even comes with a ‘secret' Harry Potteresque cubby playroom that is sure to delight any child! The stylish master bedroom includes access to the large front veranda via the original French doors, a walk-in-robe plus a handy built-in-cupboard and an ensuite which features a double shower with a rain head nozzle, a dual vanity with marble benchtops, and marble flooring and wall tiles throughout. The ground floor also includes the family bathroom with a full-sized bath, a separate laundry and a second living area which leads out to another covered rear deck that easily connects with the flat, playable yard- which is such a rarity in these inner-city areas, and is the perfect spot to sit back and relax, or supervise the kids in style. Close to the city and only 15 minutes from the Airport via the Airport Link Tunnel, as well as local conveniences such as Botanica and the Red Hill coffee shops, parks, supermarkets and stellar schools such as Kelvin Grove State College - 18 McCook Street is a comfortable residence surrounded by all the lifestyle amenities that you need. Incredible team, compassionate and caring professionals who were a pleasure to work with

Judi, Michael and Harriet are a wonderful team who helped us through the potentially stressful time of selling our house in Red Hill. The whole process started many months before we were ready to put the house on the market, and we quickly settled on the best time to sell early in the new year. Of the group of agents we had through for appraisals, we believe Judi and team were the most realistic on price and selling strategy, and we felt comfortable from the moment they came to see us. We had them through for an appraisal many years before, out of interest in what our place was worth before we renovated, and of the group of agents we had through, Judi was the only one who had done her research before hand and brought us numerous comparables in a report to discuss. She also made an concerted effort to show us other places she had on the market we might be interested in purchasing, something we really liked and was a consideration when we selected her to eventually sell our place. Judi was able to negotiate a fantastic result for us in only 8 days on the market, raising the first offer around $50k over a busy day of back and forth negotiating. It was never stressful and she provided frank and honest advice throughout the process, and we were absolutely correct to accept the offer where she negotiated too. We couldn't recommend Judi, Michael and Harriet enough to anyone who wants to sell in the inner Brisbane property market - there is no better team out there.
