Michael was a great agent, I was selling my first property so was a bit nervous about the whole process. He coached me through it, worked extremely hard, kept me in the loop, never pressured me in to making decisions and used his knowledge of the area to plan my campaign out perfectly. I first met Michael as a potential buyer for one of the properties he was selling. He was knowledgeable and gave good insight to help close the deal. I then engaged him to sell my property. Helen & myself decided to select Michael as our selling agent after seeking out several other Southbank real estate agents. The presentation Michael gave us was professional in all respects and advise and guidelines he gave us all lived up to his & our expectations. During the sale process, Michael kept us fully informed on a timely basis both on a one to one basis and in the the reports he generated for us. These reports were comprehensive and gave us information that supported our belief that we had chosen the right agent. Helen and myself did consider selling our apartment privately however we were not inclined to go down that path having listened carefully and considered the advantages & exposures that a professional agent such as Michael provides. Our decision proved to be correct as Michael exhibited excellent negotiation skills that secured the final price we both were extremely happy with. The amount we paid on commissions were fully justified. It might be fair to state that, I have been around and been through my fair share of experiences, good and not so good. It is not that one comes across a professional who possesses the repertoire of skills apt for a practice; but then, passionately employs them all in delicate yet appropriate measures / balance in the service of one's customer or in one's profession; that is Michael, a rarer combination of skills, attitude and service; an increasingly rare combination in the days of instant everything and short-termism. A genuine young person, who cares, knows and deeply desires to make it possible for his customer's to reach their goals; practical yet empathetic, realistic yet with a deep desire to lock into the customer's aspirations and do his best, whilst not straying away from achievable - all in the interest of his customer. It is not that he has achieved the outcome for us, that we set out to achieve but the most important outcome of our association with Michael is that, whenever we will think of real estate, the first call from us will go to him, even if he is not exactly serving the area we are considering - that is trust and strength of the relationship he has earned with us. Not to ignore, as an ex. CEO, I keep wondering that, in this day and age of volume, instant gratification, short-term results; where established businesses are falling by the way side like dominos for either failing to catch-up on the new channels and ways of business or outsourcing the not-outsourcable namely, knowledge and service; Ray White must be doing something right, if they are attracting persons like Michael and growing them into their potential - there is a page of wisdom in business management / governance from Ray White...
