Advertisment for land stated offers over $x thouand but after negotiation found out vendor wouldn't accept no less then $30k above advertised asking price. Was advised that block was nice and level where in fact there is a 2.5m slope across entire block. Honest evaluation of the land would have been appreciated. We are still happy that we got the land and in the end we did get a reasonably good price considering the inflation of land values in the area.
