COVID dramatically changed my financial outlook - I had to access the value locked in my long-held investment property to fund my retirement much earlier than I had planned. With great uncertainty due to the pandemic, for peace of mind I wanted this to be done to a tight timeframe. Marcus and his team provided quickly a very comprehensive valuation - as well as a lot of generous time - not just to walk through with myself but also my children, through all the steps of selling and all of our questions. We were felt we were in good hands and confidently signed on with Marcus and do not regret it. Marcus was very patient, listened carefully, did exactly what he said what he would do, worked hard and often long hours to get things done. We could certainly feel he had the smarts, skills and was well attuned to the market. As the time got closer to auction, we were worried the market was softening. He managed incredibly well the fine line between revising our expectations but holding the bar of what we needed from the sale. Crucially he told us what we needed to hear versus what we wanted to hear, but always with a clear plan to get us the right result. On auction day, he put us at ease and directed the Ray White team - auctioneer, multiple supporting auction assistants - admirably. The atmosphere was welcoming, organised and high-energy but not pushy. In the end, I did get exactly the result myself and the whole family was hoping for. I believe Marcus is not just a great real estate agent, but an inspired one. He has a kindness and integrity which opens people's confidence to put their faith in him. And because he has an intellect and energy to match, his capacity to do good work draws out the best in people, not just buyers but also sellers. Without hesitation I would definitely sell - or buy - through Marcus again.
