Poor Management
From day one it was a poor experience dealing with this company.. Well it was Darwin Rental Specialists on day one before they merged with Real Estate Central. The day I was supposed to collect the keys I was messaged to say they would need to postpone the collection a few hours later which was a little annoying but ok.. I went to the office at the new agreed time to have to wait for almost 30 minutes. When the agent finally arrived there was no apology just passed the blame onto myself saying the turn around from one tenant exiting to a new entering was too soon! We wanted to move in on the date the property was listed as being available so if the property was not available from this date it should have been corrected! We weren't given a full set of keys.. again this was blamed on the tight turn around. The property inspection report was appalling and no damage was recorded at all. The agent came back to the property to inspect all my comments because there were so many faults I recorded... Again this was blamed on the tight turn around. A large majority of the issues were rectified personally as they were fairly minor. Poor responses to maintenance issues throughout the tenancy and poor interactions on vacate also. The condition of the property when vacate was complete was far better then when the ingoing was done and I still had to fight to get my bond back! I've never had an experience like this with a rental agency. As a home owner myself I would be appalled if my rental agent managed my property like this.
