I have been assigned Ms Joanna Wightman and Ms Lisa Meakins from Real Estate Central -Darwin Office as our property managers, however my experience with both have been extremely terrible. Every time, I need to wait for emails communications with nil success and leaving numerous voice mails with absolutely no information. She has informed me of some information at the time of taking over house and ever since house was given, she never replied on time neither answer my queries at the soonest. I would never recommend both of them to any time and would absolutely look forward to cancel with Central if provided with an opportunity.

If only I could give 0 star! How can someone expect more than 20 years old property to look brand new and why do we have to use cleaning service recommended by them only? Ended up paying 2 different bond cleaning services and the property still looked same after Jim’s Cleaning service (recommended by Central) but they approved the vacate 2nd time. Wow, is this a joke?

From day one it was a poor experience dealing with this company.. Well it was Darwin Rental Specialists on day one before they merged with Real Estate Central. The day I was supposed to collect the keys I was messaged to say they would need to postpone the collection a few hours later which was a little annoying but ok.. I went to the office at the new agreed time to have to wait for almost 30 minutes. When the agent finally arrived there was no apology just passed the blame onto myself saying the turn around from one tenant exiting to a new entering was too soon! We wanted to move in on the date the property was listed as being available so if the property was not available from this date it should have been corrected! We weren't given a full set of keys.. again this was blamed on the tight turn around. The property inspection report was appalling and no damage was recorded at all. The agent came back to the property to inspect all my comments because there were so many faults I recorded... Again this was blamed on the tight turn around. A large majority of the issues were rectified personally as they were fairly minor. Poor responses to maintenance issues throughout the tenancy and poor interactions on vacate also. The condition of the property when vacate was complete was far better then when the ingoing was done and I still had to fight to get my bond back! I've never had an experience like this with a rental agency. As a home owner myself I would be appalled if my rental agent managed my property like this.
