Pleasant and professional - highly recommended
Choosing the right agent to sell your property is a tough choice. When we sold our first unit, we were at a loss: so many agents, so many agencies. What should we look for? We focussed on the aspects that were quantifiable: number of sales, commission, mean sale prices, etc. Following our second purchase, we know there's more to it, and the immeasurable intangibles are at least as important as hard facts.
Most prospective buyers will have experienced what we call the 'red flag moment'. You find this great property, go to the Open House and all seems well. Until you start chatting with the selling agent, and you just get this odd feeling. The agent doesn't seem genuine. He's hiding something. Or rushing. It's difficult to put in words, and in fact, not quantifiable, but chances are that you have experienced it before. As such, we can't emphasise enough how important it is to find an agent who excels at dealing with potential buyers in a pleasant and professional manner.
We like to share our experience from a buyers' point-of-view. We found Wendy very pleasant and patient. We remained for a long time, and not once did we feel rushed. Wendy has a great feeling for letting potential buyers explore the property and almost make them feel at home whilst, at the same time, being present to answer any questions.
In addition, we came to appreciate Wendy's honesty and helpfulness. She didn't downplay the property's flaws and swiftly addressed our concerns regarding council approvals, asbestos use, and the inevitable "Did we spent too much?" question with documentation and an overview of recent sales in the area. Very efficient, very professional.
Finally, Wendy enabled us to enter the house prior to settlement for our renovation planning. It was the much appreciated icing on the cake of this stress-free purchase. We will certainly contact Wendy should we ever sell our house and cannot recommend her highly enough.
