THE SEARCH
For the established family with teenagers, looking for more than a beautiful house. A beautiful life. Right now.
Skip the architects and the drawings. The Sundays lost to choosing tiles. The call halfway through the build that starts, "So, about the budget..."
This one is already done, to perfection.
The pool. The bar. The pavilion. The sauna. A main suite that feels like a private hotel, and a dressing room to match. Room for twenty at dinner, but just as much to also disappear.
You don't have to design it. You just have to live in it.
Most houses have an address. This one has a name.
That's when you know it's special.
THE STORY
Meet Belvedere on 83.
Italian for beautiful to see. And from the moment you arrive, you'll understand the name.
The pivot door swings open under your palm. Your head tips back without asking. Two storeys of air. A circle of sky in the ceiling. Light spilling down a staircase that curves like it was poured.
Then the hallway. Floor-to-ceiling glass in every window, the pool sliding along beside you, light moving across the timber.
The bar waits to one side. Glasses hung, ready. You can already hear Friday night.
In the kitchen your hand finds the marble. Cool, veined. Behind it, the second kitchen is handling the prep, the dishes, the mess.
Outside, the pool runs the length of the house, its mosaic tiles glowing green. The long table is set under the pavilion, the fan turning slowly overhead. Candles lit. Smoke drifting across the lawn from the outdoor kitchen. Your teenagers, their friends, your friends. One story talking over another.
Beside the water, the sauna glows behind glass. Heat, then straight into the pool.
Upstairs, the main suite keeps going. You cross the floor and step into the robe. The lights come on. All of them. Glass cabinetry glows, every handbag lit like it's on show. It isn't storage. It's a gallery, and you're the curator.
You haven't started getting dressed, and it already feels like an occasion.
THE LIFE
Everything you need is inside your door. The pool, the bar, the sauna, the table.
And everything else is just outside it.
School mornings run easy. Caulfield Grammar, Korowa and Sacré Cur are close by, and the train reaches the Hawthorn and Kew schools. Afternoons drift down to Gardiners Creek, acres of parkland, playing fields and bike trails.
Saturdays belong to High Street. Coffee, a little shopping, a lot of café. Chadstone when the day needs more. The Monash Freeway when you're heading out. The train when the city calls.
Inside, a whole life. Outside, a whole neighbourhood.
Belvedere. A beautiful home. A beautiful life.
