We used Jordan 3 years ago to sell our own property in Wollongong and were quite satisfied with the way he conducted the sale. He was young and enthusiastic at this time. For this recent sale of my mothers town house in Wollongong, things had changed noticeably. We felt at the time that the property should fetch between $750,000 to $ $800,000 given other similar, recent sales. Jordan agreed with us, and convinced us to put a very low Guide price of $700,000, with the idea of creating a lot of interest. I remember them saying "that if we were nervous about the low price, the buyers would be lining up with their bids. This did not eventuate and we found ourselves stuck with offers well below our expected price. Despite these offers, Jordan was optimistic about going to auction. I then got a call advising us that a developer had submitted a deposit of $73,000, on the unit, and that we should take it. His enthusiasm for an auction had suddenly disintegrated. This appears on the surface to be a good price ($30,000 above Guide), but was $20,000 below the minimum price we were expecting. In the end we got the impression that he was working for the buyer. It was a disappointing experience.
