The Wellington Range is in the distance and Mt Sleeping Beauty just pokes her face up on the horizon.
Facing north, there is all day sun throughout the year, allowing for easy solar charging. The bus is set up with low-voltage power, providing lighting at night and charging for your phone and laptop. The slow-combustion wood fire will keep you snug at night and the full-sized bed looks so inviting. The bus is functional, able to be driven out, should it not be required. The natural environment up here is teaming with wildlife. There are Wallabies, Echidnas, Quolls, Bandicoots, Wombats and probably Devils too. Up high in the sky, the Wedge Tail Eagles soar. The birdlife is plentiful with Parrots, Cockatoos, Wrens and Robins. This is a very private, natural escape with 50 acres of your own Tassie oasis, high up where the air is crisp and clean.
A 5 minute drive out takes you to the Huon Hwy where you can pop into the main hub of the Huon Valley at Huonville in one direction or head into Hobart within 30 minutes the other direction. The area is known for its excellent Apples and Cherries. Nearby is Willie Smiths Apple Cidery, Home Hill Winery and the well loved Summer Kitchen Café/Bakery.
