About us

Wellington and Reeves has a deep history as one of the oldest and most respected real estate businesses in Albany. In 1948, on a hand shake, Roy Wellington and Alex Reeves, commenced a business which traded as Home Furnishing and Trading Company specialising in home furnishings, but were also Land and Estate Agents 1n 1961, a change of name was the order of the day, and the business became known as Roy Wellington and Alex Reeves Pty Ltd, and along with lifetime friend and partner John Morgan the business flourished. In 1977, Graham Wellington joined the firm after studying Architecture for 3 years and project building for 10 years, and was eventually the manager and licensee. Roy Wellington and Alex Reeves unfortunately both passed on within a relatively short time of one another, both gentlemen serving their town and community admirably. In February 1987, Barry Panizza joined the business with the generous help of John Morgan. Having had previous banking and farming experience the rural side of the business was once again an integral part. Mid 2004, as property management had grown substantially, direction and development was required. With this in mind, Kathleen Mier from a retail sales and service background was brought into the business to manage the department, and to offer clients an improved service experience. A few months later, Graham Wellington announced he would be retiring and in July 2005 was fare welled at a function that espoused his loyalty and commitment to the company, for the previous 28 years. After 67 years of family ownership, Barry and Kathleen were honoured to have been entrusted to successfully guide the business into the future. In 2016, updated branding and a fresh approach to marketing were undertaken, and the business has continued to evolve with Suzie Mier as General Manager and Darren Leslie as Sales and Marketing Manager. With a very strong foundation in the commercial, residential and rural divisions and as Albany’s leading land sales agency, Wellington and Reeves continues to flourish and set benchmarks in the Real Estate industry. With a strong history to be preserved and honoured, the company prides itself on being a part of ‘Albany Real Estate since 1948’. A Particular Professional

Paul was professional and caring the whole way. He listened to our needs, as sellers, and did the best he could to meet those needs prior to the sale of our house. He brought flowers for the internal pictures. A gesture I thought was very kind. The photographers and writer made us feel like we were in the hands of experts, creating a professional and vibrant presentation and description of our house. Paul went around and made sure everything was in working order so as not to create a delay in the sale which was much appreciated. He was always available to converse with when we had any questions and was 100% knowledgeable in his field. Paul kept us abreast of all stages of the sale and liaised with the other estate agents involved in the process of purchases and sales with the other parties. We would definitely use Paul again, and recommend him with confidence.
