I will start by saying that Alan Chan is a gentleman. He has a friendly and approachable manner. I do appreciate Alan’s hard work that went into selling the house and his recommendation.

Alan has shown us a few properties before we zeroed in on this one. Alan has a pleasant and engaging personality with great sales skills. He was always available to answer any queries we had. We had a great experience working with him. I would definitely recommend him. However, I would not be recommending LJHooker based on the following points we observed: 1. They did not do online offers and sale agreements. We had to travel from Camberwell to Berwick during COVID. 2. Usually buyers (we have seen this with other agencies) get some kind of a move-in gift but there was none in this instance for us, which did put a slight damper on our first home buying experience. No one has contacted us now that things have settled down and they have been so for a while now. The bottom-line is that Alan is a great agent, LJ Hooker not so great an agency.

I know Alan is professional after initial formal meeting on discussing my property with him. He knows how to prepare the particular sale step by step. But that's not all of his expertise. He knows how to get the best deal and he can feel the market. He can handle complicated scenarios and always helps landlord to get a potential buyer. I believe what makes him different is that his positive attitude and rich experience. Alan is definitely the guy that you can trust.
