I first met Alex when he was selling a property two doors down from my house about 5 years before I sold. At the time I wasn't even considering selling or buying but there was an open home and I'm a nosey neighbour so I went along. I was up front and told Alex that I was just a nosey neighbour and his response was- "That's okay, you've got to see what the market is doing in your area, don't you?" and then spent 5 minutes of his time, while he had a house full of potential buyers, talking to me about what the market was doing in the area. In my experience, other agents would have excused themselves and gone to talk to people with the cash in their pockets, but Alex didn't and I immediately liked him as a result. When it came time for me to consider selling, I got Alex in. I was going to sell and then I wasn't and then I was and then I wasn't... and Alex took it all in his stride. He didn't get frustrated with my indecision, he just kept saying- "You've gotta do what's right for you" and let me make up my own mind in my own time. Meanwhile, he had already told me exactly what needed to be done to the house to get it market-ready. Pull the weeds here, trim the trees there, put some bark down here and clean the kitchen benches. Just quietly- I've talked to other people about Alex's kitchen bench obsession and it seems to be his thing so beware. He tells you this stuff because he knows what he's talking about. He knows what makes for good photos and makes for a good open home. One of the highlights in the selling journey for me was when I got an excellent offer on my house. Alex called me to tell me what it was. He was so excited and someone-I suspect it was his wife in the background- goes "WOOHOO!!!" Which tells me that this isn't just a job for Alex and the people around him. It's his passion and it's not just going through the motions to make a buck. If I was selling again tomorrow, I'd definitely get Alex back to do it all over again.
Alex was totally awesome to deal with, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, down to earth & helpful...everything you would want, need & wish for in an agent! Thanks Alex for getting this sale across the line. Pretty sure without your perseverance it wouldn't have come off. Really happy to be in here now and getting on with making the house our home.
