Annamaria worked very hard to sell our previous home, which she did. We followed her advice all the way. It sold very quickly after the first Open. She achieved a posting in the Saturday Advertiser Real Estate Guide with photos. She advised sale by open inspection rather than an auction and it worked. Her fee was reasonable and she advised a good Conveyancer. We were disappointed not to achieve our minimum price, $440,000, by $5000. With State Government fees of $23,500, plus conveyancer's fee and bank charges, with no advice as to how high they would be, we are left in a very difficult financial position, with no alternative but to tighten our belts for several years after a very comfortable lifestyle before in our old home. We paid too much for our unit in Kensington Gardens ($470,000) - we would have been glad of her advice - but we panicked with nowhere to go on the sale of our home so we offered too much to clinch the sale. Sue is reasonably satisfied with the new unit, but we are in a turmoil, due to down sizing and I alternate between grief and mild depression at the loss of our family home. If I could reverse the sale, I would. No one warned me of these feelings of grief and regret before the sale. I believe agents should do so. Then we would go into it knowing what to expect.
