Selling/buying houses is not a fun experience. For all the gushing reviews saying "oh my god, Chad from Coogee was so unique", there are a thousand silent people who move on with their lives cursing any time in their future when they need to transact on a property. Only twelve months after selling my own house with a "Chad", I was not looking forward to selling my grandmothers family home. I met Arthur when looking to buy in the inner-west. He was different to other agents. In fact, in the 20+ agents I met with, he was the only one who had a name and face I remembered. Arthur was the first (and only) agent who I called on to sell our family property. He approached the sale with enthusiasm, genuine interest and a real understanding of our position in the market. There was limited agent BS and a serious understanding of where we were, and what we needed. The buyers loved him. In a competitive market, you need an agent who stands out. Nobody will forget Arthur! We had an amazing campaign, regular updates, daily support and on the day of the auction there was no doubt that the property would sell. Record numbers of inspections, and most importantly - a volume of registered bidders that far exceeded expectations. While we did a lot of work to get this property to the standard expected for a high end sale, it would never have achieved a record price without the unique charisma of the inner-wests best real estate agent. I'm not too proud to admit that I got in the car, drove out of our family driveway as its "former owners" and cried on the way home. There is nothing harder than ending a major chapter of your family history, but it is an experience we will all go through at some point. What you need is a agent who understands this. I can safely say there is absolutely nobody in the inner-west who understands this more than Arthur. I am not one to hand out recommendations easily, however I am more than happy to speak directly with any sellers to pass on my experience.
