John has made selling our home such a breeze. Excellent communication throughout the process, very informative & knowledgeable about the current market. Through his hard work he managed to get us exactly what we were after and it was a pleasure to go through this process with him and his team. Would definitely recommend john to anyone looking at selling! Cant thank him enough.

John Birrell at Thornton Reality was selected due to his friendly nature and professional approach. We are so happy we selected John to handle the sale of our home. John’s strategies and hard work led to a quick sale at top dollar. We would highly recommend John to any friends or family.

Myself and wife just recently sold our investment property with John. We both were concerned about how difficult the process of selling our property might be. But John and his team help us smoothly navigate this process and kept us constantly informed, from the very first step of listing the property right through to facilitating the sale. John was always available to talk to and answer any of our question. I would highly recommend John Birrell and his team! Thanks you again for making the process so easy. Jarrett & Karli

From our very first meet he was professional, reliable and honest. He was highly communicative which was very much appreciated. Direct & honest and set realistic goals and deadlines. It was a hassle free process, that made us feel comfortable and secure. We thank him for his hard work and applaud him on his fantastic effort! I will highly recommend him to any of my friends or family.

We shopped around for an agent for 12 months prior to putting our home on the market. We wanted an agent who was open to ideas, easy to communicate with, determined to succeed and made buyers feel comfortable when visiting our home for inspections. John was all that and more. Johns communication is second to none. Being that it was the first time we have sold a home, John talked us through every step of the process, he listened and we negotiated on things rather then he or I making firm decisions. John put no pressure on potential buyers, he gently did follow ups and provided us with constructive criticism along the way. He was got us EXACTLY what we wanted for our home even though we reached for the stars. John was exactly what we wanted in an agent. He is an all round good man who we will certainly be keeping in contact with.

John's Honest, realistic and professional approach made this a wonderful experience. John had clear communication the whole way. Johns ability to be personable and adapt to what was important to us as a seller mixed with the feedback from open homes and what was needed to sell the property was at the highest level. I would certainly recommend John and the team at Thornton Reality.

Nothing was too much trouble, very knowledgeable about the area and the property. Highly recommend him.

After living in the same house for over 60 years it was not easy to part. I knew in my heart is was time but knew nothing about selling. John was so kind, gentle and knowledgeable. He talked me through every step - numerous times when needed. I was kept up to date with everything- big and small. John hit the ground running and took no time at all to sell. I could not be more thankful for the time, effort and patience John put into my house sale. I would recommend him to everyone.

We recently sold our house with John. He was friendly, prompt and committed. He was available whenever we needed him and went above and beyond to do whatever he could for us. We would highly reccommend John!

From the beginning I found him to be quite rude & I just about cancelled, simply based on what I felt was aggressive, bullying behaviour and would never like to have any further contact.

John knows the local area well. He was very easy to deal with, always available to talk (even answered one of my calls while he was in NZ) and was great during negotiations. All of these things are great for a first home buyer like myself. It was a pleasure doing business with him!

John is an excellent real estate agent. He's honest, proactive and very easy to communicate with. We've had experiences with other agents who have been pushy with cringeworthy sales practices. John was never this way. He always prioritised our wishes, was genuine and straight to the point. Would recommend to anyone looking for an agent.
