This was an incredibly frustrating experience. We, as buyers, expected a smooth property handover, but it turned into a nightmare. On settlement day, we were shocked to find out that the previous homeowner still had one set of keys. The agent proceeded with the handover without all the keys, prioritizing the seller's interests over ours. When we entered the house, it was in a deplorable state - the front yard was littered with rubbish, the interior was a mess with trash everywhere, and various rooms were filled with refuse. The laundry room was flooded, bedroom cabinets were overflowing with garbage, and the kitchen contained half-eaten food. This was a stark contrast to our excitement about our new home. The agency failed in its responsibility to ensure a smooth handover and a clean property. Despite our efforts to contact the agent, she remained unreachable, and the agency's front desk offered only a shallow apology. I strongly advise avoiding this agency. This experience is a glaring example of unprofessionalism and indifference towards buyers. It's a reminder to protect our rights and avoid such absurd behavior.
