I have been trying to buy a house on the coast for the last two years, in that time I have put holding deposits on two other properties with two other agents. the first agent informed me that after I agreed to the asking price and paid the .25% deposit that the owner raised the price by $10,000 which I found unethical, the 2nd I pulled out of due to the neighbors but the agent after offering him the asking price played me against a pretend bidder to raise the price.(I found this out because I called his bluff and walked away) he rang me ten minutes later and said the other person did the exact same thing and that I could have the property $8000 cheaper if I signed on the spot. Blake from first national was my third go at it, he had just taken people through an hour before I called and had an offer on the property. I asked if I could have a look through and he agreed and was at the property within 10 minutes, he gave me the time I needed to make a decision, I offered the asking price and I signed that afternoon. I found Blake to be honest, straight to the point and very efficient, I felt comfortable signing with him and the sale so far is flowing smoothly. after dealing with the other agents it was a pleasure doing business with him.
