Buying and selling real estate is always an emotion charged time. Especially when life presents opportunities to move much faster than you had anticipated. Through such a moment in time, we found ourselves the successful bidder on a property in most unusual circumstances, we went to be observers but found ourselves bidders. Two reasons contributed to this situation, firstly we had inspected the property some years before and were very impressed with it. The second was we knew and trusted the selling agent, Braden Walters from McGrath Real Estate, a local agent we had known from our time in the inner west market. Whilst we had considered selling our current home, we had not instigated any of the usual procedures, finance, preparation of the home for sale, tradesmen we may need, stylists etc. Signing the contract after the auction meant we had to move rapidly to sell our home. Braden took control of the situation from the outset, arranging a list of everyone we may need to assist with our sale by the very afternoon we signed the contract on our new home. Not only did he arrange a list, he set about to ensure our home would be presented in the best possible manner to the rapidly discerning inner west market of Sydney. Every afternoon Braden and his team would check in to see how things were going and in next to no time, our home was ready to be presented to the market. We were very proud of how our home looked for the first open house, just two weeks after our new purchase. In just one week Braden was able to secure an offer and signed contract that we were delighted with. During that time, Braden kept us advised of every offer and included advice about what was happening in the local market on a daily, and often twice daily basis. There was never any pressure to accept any offer, just sound advice which allowed us to make calm, informed decisions. A respectful business relationship . We like doing business that way.
