I guess ours was not a typical house sale listing for Brenton. We had lived in our home in Toowoomba for over 30 years and raised our children there. When we moved to Brisbane, we rented our Toowoomba home for more than 10 years. After experiencing some problem tenants, we decided to sell the property. The house had 'grown old' in that time, and needed updating. Being absentee owners, we felt we were not able to do that ourselves. We travelled to Toowoomba and engaged Brenton to list the property for sale, explaining that we wanted to sell the property 'as is'. A contract was drawn up, and duly signed by both parties. The settlement date was quite a lengthy one, but Brenton updated us continuously regarding the progress of the contract. As it turned out, the settlement date turned our to be while we were away overseas. Brenton communicated with our daughter and the settlement went smoothly.
