We are interstate buyers mid fifties who were searching for a home that we could purchase to be debt free. It was very difficult for us to find a property sight unseen and the market was going moving very fast. Most homes were being sold at open house. We approached Brooke on the property at Browns Plains via message on realestate.com It was very hard at the beginning because I don’t think Brooke thought we were very serious buyers and there was a lot of interest for the property, and I think she felt a little bit inundated at first with everybody making enquiries. We did however explain that we were cashed buyers and showed a lot of interest. Brooke is very professional & friendly. If we could fault anything with the whole process of buying a property here in Queensland regardless of what Real Estate we dealt with or conveyancer we would say that unfortunately the in-person approach is actually not there any more. As 50 odd-year-olds we would have appreciated more phone calls and meetings and less texting and emails. But now in this new modern age its text messaging and emails rather than phone calls and in person business dealings. We also experienced this with our conveyancer. Instead of dropping off a bank check for the purchase of the property to the conveyancer it was a money transfer at the bank which I felt very uneasy with. That’s not a fault of Brooks, or the conveyancers, it’s more how it’s evolving now especially with Covid and working from home scenarios. I just wish that rather than try to understand a text message with no tone, a simple phone call we think is a lot more professional especially when you’re dealing with thousands of dollars in sales, and trying to build rappore for future business. We really appreciated the gifts and the toilet paper was a very clever idea. It’s just like a systematic failure for us midlife buyers.

Due to an unfortunate series of events we had to sell our first and what we thought was going to be our forever home. My partner reached out to Brooke from Raywhite whilst we were away to see what we needed to do and within 24hrs she had contacted my partner to get the ball rolling. Brooke and Eliza then went out of their way to drop off a sales pack at our home so we could have a read through when we returned. She continued to make contact and see what we were hoping for in the sale and when we were looking at selling - we told her we just wanted to break even with our current mortgage and walk away debt free whilst selling as soon as possible. She said this wouldn’t be a problem at all. She then booked in photography for the following week and had lined up a private viewing for clients that had been interested in similar properties but missed out. Once the photos were complete, our property went live on Wednesday as well as the first viewing and then another viewing on the following Saturday. Our property was only live for roughly 4 days before accepting an offer. Brooke had communicated with us throughout these few days letting us know we had multiple offers but didn’t give us any dollar values until she was happy. The offer Brooke came to us with on Sunday night far exceeded all expectations we had, she some how managed to move the sale price up and $175K above asking price. This process has been bitter sweet for us, we lost our first home, but thanks to Brooke & Eliza we still managed to walk away debt free and enough in the bank to buy or invest in another property. The girls made this process seamless and enjoyable, she said she wanted to get the best possible deal for us given our circumstances that led to selling and she delivered, we couldn’t be happier with the service provided and forever grateful she was persistent in providing the best service.
