Tim is a calm, yet tough and confident negotiator. He does not create unrealistic expectations and he is an excellent auctioneer who understands that strategy is more important in an auction than theatre. While he is very capable, it is his team that reflect his capacity as the type of manager who knows the importance of allowing people to play to their strengths. So it is really the team package that delivers the final result. I watched more auctioneers in action than I care to remember and I interviewed several of them. I doubt most of them could have achieved a similar result to the one produced by the Fletchers' team that Tim led.
