When I decided to sell my apartment I knew the ropes well as I had my own Agency in Surry Hills for 15 years and knew all the agents, some good, some bad, some terrible. We met Charles late one night back in September 2007, when he specially opened 157 Lawson Street outside of advertised times for viewing. We like the place and settled on terms and purchased the property within 24 hours. In that transaction, Charles conducted himself with integrity and responsively - which was the reason I believe we secured the property amid interest from other purchasers. When it came time to selling our home of for the last 8 years in December 2014, I approached Charles naturally, but also made enquiries with 2 other leading real estate agents (as you do) to ascertain agent commissions, experience and service offering. Even though Charles was more expensive than the others, I met with him and gave him one condition - that he had to achieve a sale price that met or exceeded my expectations. In a relatively short 6 week campaign, his strategy and the availability of this staff Jill Wright in particular to market our house to the "right buyers" rather than "aspirational buyers" was what helped us achieve a record sale price for our house. I had a very strong opinion about how I wanted the campaign to the run, what level to price the house etc..., and Charles accommodated knowing it was not the right approach for 3 weeks. He connect with us weekly and I agreed to completely let go and allow Charles and his team to run the campaign as they thought best - well, guess what, I was wrong to have not listened to Charles sooner.
