Having used several agents in Paddington I found Chris the easiest and most honest to deal with. Through a long sales process due to downturn and pandemic, he would discuss the options, listen to input and give a recommendation. I generally found his advice to be sound and never felt he was pushing his own agenda.
After meeting with a few agents I decided to list my house through Chris (and Caroline Brown who co-marketed the property). This was truly a great decision! Chris and Caroline are both highly competent professionals with extensive experience in the Paddington area. They were responsive to queries and offered great advice and recommendations re strategy, presentation, etc.. There was a lot of buyer interest during the sales campaign and through their hard work and determination I had a contract within two weeks - at a price I was very happy with! Chris was an absolute delight to deal with and I cannot recommend him highly enough!!

From the beginning of the process right through until after settlement, Chris was prompt and helpful in responding to any query or concern. Where it really counts though is where we were most impressed. We settled on a good price in a short period of time, and the buyers were happy as well. All round a fantastic result in difficult times, since the market was very uncertain during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. I did a lot of research on which agent I thought would best suit our property and interviewed several before signing with Chris. My husband and I were hesitant about how best to price our property, but took Chris's advice, not actually expecting what he said he could achieve could be achieved. Glad to say we were wrong! Chris managed to have two offers on our property within the first weekend and we accepted one of these offers after the second open house (an extra open house that he did on a Sunday). Not only this, we were away in the week leading up to the first open house and Chris managed this so well, quickly and efficiently getting some minor repairs to the house sorted. Totally done with buying and selling houses now, but if we ever have to do it again, we know exactly who to turn to.

In my experience, there are a number of ways that an agent adds value and differentiates themselves. One of these is the depth of their relationships with existing and potential buyers in the market, and the other is their level of engagement with you after the paperwork is signed. Chris has been outstanding in both of these areas. To further explain this, the buyers who ended up purchasing our property were already well known to Chris. He was able to introduce our property to them based on his detailed knowledge of their requirements and desires. After they viewed the property and found that it was a good match, the negotiation process was a lot more efficient than is often the case, with Chris being able to with work from a trusted base with the buyers and us. In fact, the whole process was completed over the course of a couple of hours one evening after the buyers viewed the property. The second area (and in my opinion an important one) that Chris has excelled in is 'post-ink on the contract'. It would be easy for agents to 'clock off' once a contract is unconditional, however Chris remained engaged and has continued to remain engaged with me months after the sale was transacted. He has even dropped off misdirected mail to me, and I'm not sure how many people would go that far. One of the biggest compliments that you can give in life is to make a referral. I have happily referred Chris to my friends and family when they have wanted to sell their properties, and I will continue to do so.
