I first met Chris when I looked at apartment 1408 in the Oxley + Stirling building in South Brisbane. 1408 was advertised in the usual way (RealEstate.com). 1408 has a great floor plan but an Easterly view (not city views) and was occupied by a tenant who had a lease valid until Jan 2020 - that was a problem. Chris also showed me apartment 1402 - for sale but not advertised. It was available though. 1402 is significantly smaller than 1408 but has a killer view. I baulked at the size despite the view. Chris has sold 60% of the apartments that have come up for sale in the Oxley + Stirling (not counting those bought off the plan) and has an intimate and extensive knowledge of that building, other Aria properties (there are a few), and the general real estate market in South Brisbane. If you are interested in this really dynamic area of Brisbane, you need someone like Chris. He has his finger on the pulse of South Brisbane. Chris presents himself really professionally, sharp suits and shoes - but he is not pretentious and does not have that superior attitude you sometimes encounter. Chris is easy to talk to, returns your calls and I felt I could trust him to run a square deal. Yes, he was the seller's agent and I the buyer, so he had a responsibility to the seller but it did not feel one-sided. My relationship with Chris was very equitable. I made an offer on 1408 which was not accepted. At the same time a friend mentioned that she knew someone renting in the building - apartment 1303. We visited and I was so attracted to the apartment floor plan I gave up on the idea of buying and angled to rent 1303 (the tenant wanted to end her lease early). Would have loved 1403 but it was not for sale. When I informed Chris he went above and beyond and contacted the owners of all "03" apartments on the 10th floor and higher. Much to our surprise, the owner of 1303 was interested in selling and Chris made it happen, not easy because we were far apart on price.
Chris was professional and had great knowledge of the market in the area. He was very persistent yet patient and helped us find our dream apartment. Thanks Chris.
I approached Chris in relation to selling my apartment in South Brisbane, the Apartment Property market at this time is slow and prices are not achieving what we paid for it. Chris was honest up front as to the value of the property but at the same time he was confident in selling the property at a reasonable price given the market. He was thorough through out the process he kept us informed and found a buyer within 3 weeks. The price we achieved was below what we paid, however, in this market we were fortunate that a reasonable price was negotiated. Very happy with the outcome and the level of service Chris and Staff gave us, highly recommend Metro City .
Chris was excellent to deal with. He was very professional, easy to deal with, courteous, open and honest as well as punctual at all times. i have bought and sold more than 30 properties over the past few years and one thing that really stood out with Chris was that he always communicated with me and kept me informed at all times. He also responded to my queries promptly and was always very efficient. As a rule of thumb, i make it a policy never to recommend anyone in any field but Chris is an exception and I highly recommend Chris to anyone looking at selling.
