We chose Chris Rayner to sell our mother's house because out of all the local agents, a friend of ours recommended him as the best agent he knew, having worked with Chris locally at a different agency some years ago. Chris proved himself to be congenial, a good listener, open to hearing from us about all the ins and outs of the house. He made suggestions on how to best present the house and increase buyer appeal. He was very enthusiastic when he saw how the stylists had furnished the previously empty house. He encouraged me. He kept me informed with feedback from Open Homes, and followed up interested parties effectively, always keeping me in the loop. When the first purchasers seemed likely to be changing their minds during the cooling off period, he contacted me to let me know what he thought was going to happen and contacted the other highly interested party, on the basis that if this fell through, would they still be interested. I recently helped my mother sell her house in the lower Blue Mountains. In an effort to engage a real estate agent, I asked for recommendations from friends who still live in the area.
