Clayton at Buxtons would be good to buy through, but not to use to sell your property. As soon as Clayton listed our house he started trying to get us to lower our price, pointing out faults to try to justify us taking a lower price, well under the price quote! We never felt he was working for us trying to get the best price he could. As soon as our house sold, he began working for the buyer, telling us we had to vacate the house 5 days before settlement (that was not in the contract) Then letting the new buyers bring trades through the pre settlement inspection without getting our consent, for over one one hour, interfering with our packing and saying we should have vacated the house by then! He was also late to the pre resettlement inspection and didn’t bother letting us know. I ended up waiting with a painter for 20 minutes (the painter knew they were going to be late but I hadn’t been told) We had already let the purchasers bring trades through for quotes earlier in the settlement period. Pre settlement inspections are just for the purpose of checking the house is in the condition it was in when they purchased it. On the day of settlement Clayton came one hour before settlement saying he wanted to take photos to prove we had vacated our house, why? We’ve settled many houses before and never had an agent do something weird like that. We asked him to leave and he became angry. Clayton was a recommendation from someone and we would never use him or Buxtons again after that experience.
