Overall we had a very good experience with the LJ Hooker team. David Edwards was always available when we wanted to speak with him and the team were very proficient in their roles. We needed to do some refreshing of the property and LJ Hooker as part of their sales spiel up sold their ability to liaise on our behalf and select and/or manage contractors visiting the property as it was vacant at the time of sale. The agent selection process was very professional and they sold a vision for the property and as stated could assist us in getting the property ready for sale which we saw as a great value add. Obviously a key aspect of any decision on which agent to go with is experience, guide price estimate and commission rate. We were happy with these however in hindsight the guide price was overestimated by the agency which was disappointing as the final sale price didn’t meet the low end of the guide however the other agent we interviewed guided similarly, so perhaps just an anomaly with this property. The team went above and beyond to meet our short deadline to get the property ready and were available around the clock, especially Connie. I would say, that if you are planning to do some work prior to listing then LJ Hooker were great in managing the works/contractors if time poor. For us, we didn’t live in the area so this was a great value add/service. One negative, if you are doing any larger works like painting, flooring or styling make sure you get quotes yourself rather than use the agents contractors. We found their quotes were approximately 20-40% higher which we thought odd considering the amount of work they must give them. In terms of the marketing, the team did a wonderful job, especially the video presentation which was first class. 8/10 very happy overall, would definitely use again
