Since Dean Hamilton didn’t actually bribe me to write this review, why pile on with an old Aussie nickname? I write this from the U.S., a good 15,000 km’s from Keen Dean’s Brisbane – and even further removed from the English origins of slang ‘keen’! The old word used to mean bold and wise, defining here my story in brief. First the bold: My Brisbane-area brother found agent Dean’s talents somewhat by accident, but in the same neighbourhood as the inheritance property we needed to sell. Turns out, the gutsy Dean took on the challenge of finding a buyer AND landing an offer (+ counter-offer) – all without any assurance he would even get the listing contract from the property’s trustee!! The wise: That ‘bold’ offer/counter-offer was a full 15% greater than the trustee’s recent valuation – so convincing us beneficiaries, ‘This is our man!’ I say wise, because Dean not only made himself available 24/7 by personal cell phone and email (and in my case across the Pacific), but it was obvious from the jump that Dean’s ‘keen’ high motivation was actually the profit motive! Higher selling price = more money for Dean = more money for us. Smart! It so happens of course that the maker or seller of any product is wise to boldly chase profit, when real value is also created for all customers. As a customer, this was persuasive.
