We approached Percival Estate Agents, as well as other local agents to give us a market appraisal on our home. Over a period, 3 other agents rated our home at between $385,000 - $395,000. However, Di Calder's gave us a rating of between $395,000 and $405,000 which she believed she was confident in achieving. We were surprised at this high figure and asked her not to market the property higher than the market value. Di assured us that she believed this was achievable. At no stage did we get any offers close to this figure. To be quite honest, we are very disappointed in the final result of $386,000. We feel that the other agent's appraisals were more realistic. Di presented herself very well and kept us informed throughout the campaign in a very professional manner. We rated your first question, No - "Do you recommend Di Calder." This is due to the fact that we sincerely believe our property was incorrectly listed at $395 - $405. which retarded the sale of the property. The presentation of the home etc was very well done.

So far, everything has gone smoothly. We just need settlement to go off without a glitch to complete a great experience.

We went with Di to look at this home on two occasions. During this first look Di quietly led us to see the home's qualities; however the outing was hampered by clutter and we expressed this. Thanks to her intervention, our second viewing was of a a clean, uncluttered home. We could see the potential! During all days leading to the EXCHANGE we found our agent - whether by mobile contact or through email - to be a pro-active listener, reliable at keeping us 'in the loop' so that we knew what was happening at every step. She is, currently, calmly - quietly going about arranging access for us to allow some measure and planning for renovation after settlement occurs. All of this has happened while we are living many hundreds of kilometres away. Coming from Sydney earliest communication was by email then phone. Di was very helpful and keen to help to find the correct house. After attending the office at Port Macquarie, meeting the staff & Di it was an easy and comfortable experience. After seeing various houses she had to offer non were suitable. She then organized to see a house which was not yet on the open market . The house was again made viewable the next day which reinforced the decision to purchase. Hadn't Di taken the interest & time the purchase would not have taken place. During the purchase she was very keen, sometimes too keen. Matters have to follow a course & sometimes take longer because we have to rely on others to complete those tasks. It was a pleasure dealing with Di and the staff of Percival Real Estate.
